Any day, sunny, rain, hot or cold is a good day if you have your freedom and you aren’t locked up

“I ain’t bragging, but I am always happy. I don’t let anyone bring me down with their problems. I don’t have time for that. I have asthma but I can take care of myself. Several years ago I was in the hospital for 90 days. I got home and got a hospital bill for $200,000. I had never even seen words and numbers like that, but I am trying to pay it off little by little. Baby, it’s good to be outside. Any day, sunny, rain, hot or cold is a good day if you have your freedom and you aren’t locked up. You can’t do this and you can’t do that.”

“You have been locked up?

“Baby, you mean how many times. I have been locked up nine times. I used to be a bad boy and kept going back and forth to the big house. I am not like that now. If it takes being nice to stay out of those places, then nice is what I will be.”

“Why were you arrested?”

“All of them were marijuana. What they show on TV is nothing compared to the real deal. Growing up, people told me to stay out of trouble and stay out of prison, but I was hard-headed and thought I knew everything. Now I know to be nice and stay out of trouble and appreciate freedom.”
