Her name was Glory

“Our grandmother passed away last week. We are lighting lanterns at sunset to remember her. My grandfather was a World War 2 veteran. They were married for 65 years. They met when they were 16 and eloped. They had a massive family. She was loved and well-respected. Her house was always the getaway where we could see cousins we never got to see. She had caramel coyote, an ice cream.”

“When we were all young, we went to her house and every St. Patrick’s Day we would all stand around the tree. We made chocolate milkshakes with marshmallows. She loved us all. She made it to her 91st birthday on Thursday and she passed on Friday. We knew she would hold on for her birthday party because she loved being the center of attention. Her name was Glory.”
