I am homeless because I am in the process of transferring my parole back to Texas

“They want to charge $25 a week for staying at the homeless shelter. I thought the homeless shelter was for people in need. I don’t have $25 and don’t get my disability check until the first of the month. They just told us they can’t sleep in the park. I am waiting to go home in Galveston Texas. I am homeless because I am in the process of transferring my parole back to Texas and I have to wait until they ok it. After I got out, one of the guys I met in jail let me stay with him until I could get back on my feet. They had drug dealers next door who owed people money. They threatened to shoot up the house or blow it up, so I got out. I was arrested for taking a pipe wrench out of a city vehicle. I had been drinking and saw it in the back of a city truck. I picked it up and put it on my bicycle. A police officer saw me do it. It was stupid. I have gone in for intoxication before, but never for something like this. I want to get back to Galveston, they have beautiful beaches. My family is there and my sister is giving me a travel trailer. I am going to get back on my feet.”
