I could when other people said you can’t

“I am waiting on the bus and going to the bank. I would rather ride the bus than bother anyone else for a ride. I have been in Mobile all of my life. I was hit by a car when I was six years old.  I had two brain surgeries and the doctor said I would never get out of the bed or walk again. They said the brain damage was too severe and I would always be an invalid and I would never be able to learn. One day church people prayed over me and I got up out of my chair and walked. I graduated from college on the Dean’s List. They said I would never have children and I had three babies. They looked at scans of my brain and wondered how I was getting around or sitting in a chair. It was all God. There have been some low down people that tried to hurt me along the way, but God was protecting me. I am proud that I have been able to say I could when other people said you can’t. I never allowed my children to say can’t. Say I will try or I am going to do it. All of them went to college. The doctors put me back in the chair because I was falling a lot, but I still get around.”
