I live in this bus

“I live in this bus. In October 2015, I got caught with a gram of weed. I bonded out and October of last year they upgraded it to a felony and brought me back from Texas. I was doing fine in Texas, but I lost everything I owned. I lived in a shed in front of Home Depot for a month and then lived in a tent behind Target. My mom bought me this school bus off Facebook, but we had a fight and aren’t talking right now. Batteries run my refrigerator and fans. I am putting down hardwood floors. I want to buy a little land and use this bus as a trailer and live there. I grew up on a farm and have been working since I was a little kid. I was 17 in tenth grade and making B’s and C’s. My daddy had cancer and I couldn’t get along with my stepmom. There were five of us living at home. I was working 70 hours a week, buying my school clothes and paying my daddy rent. I couldn’t take it anymore, I dropped out of school. My dad was mad because he couldn’t draw Social Security off of me. Three weeks later they picked me up and threw me out the back door. That is the way my life has gone ever since. Some of it has been my fault, but some of it has just been life. I am on disability. I have two screws in each ankle, a plate and five screws in my neck, and plate and screws in my jaw. My knees are bad and I have broken both wrists. All of that is from fights and car wrecks. But I can still mechanic and fix things. I would like to have a woman in my life, but my relationships don’t work out. Bad luck follows me, but I keep trying every day.”
