I think I can change more lives in Nicaragua

Bye Bye Love“I have army training as a sniper and I can speak five languages, but I went to college for 12 years and studied criminal justice, psychology, and history. My objective was to reduce recidivism rates in the prison population. I studied and worked and realized it couldn’t be done on the back end. It has to be done on the front end. It has to be done when they are children.

I shot competitively for Glock for a while. Once I became bored with that, I started doing jujitsu and was national champion last year for my weight class. Next, I want to take up archery.

I lived all over the world, but my children are here and I want them to have a peaceful Alabama life. Once they graduate I am going to Nicaragua to have a rice farm.

I am done with America. I feel like it is done and a lost cause. Maybe I am jaded because my dream died with the prison system and realizing that I couldn’t save people. I think I can change more lives in Nicaragua.

‘Bye Bye Love’ was one of my grandmother’s favorite songs and we played it to calm her the night she died. I am glad I was there.”
