I want to give my kids and example of serving other people

“We are from Rhode Island, Virginia, Rhode Island, Montana, Georgia, and Guam. We are part of the 169th.”

“I had to join the Army and have been in a few months. I want to give my kids a safer future and an example of how to serve other people. Being away from my wife to do this is the hardest thing I have done in my life.”
“I joined seven years ago. I have two kids and a wife. I joined because it is a family tradition. My great-grandfather, grandfather and dad were all in the Army.”
“I joined the Army to build a foundation as an adult. Fresh from high school, not going to college, I wasn’t growing. I joined the Army to be a role model for nephews and nieces.”
“After doing a year of community college, I didn’t like it and my life wasn’t going anywhere. I joined the Army to turn my life around. I am going to Korea for a year.”
“I joined to get a college education and more discipline. I did a year in college and then joined. I have got the discipline down. It was tough on my mama when I left for college and then the Army. I am from Georgia and I have been away from home for ten months. That is hard. When I get out I am going to Valdosta State and majoring in psychology. My mama is proud of me.”
