I want to live intensely and serve people

April 14, 2017

“I was born in Cuba and there is no better place to live. Here we can go after our dreams. I am studying psychology and on my way to the library. I want to live intensely and serve people. I work in a mental health center. My father was an alcoholic so I went into psychology so I could help him. I was full of optimism that one day I could help him make a little recovery in his health, but he died. It is my dream to finish and do my best to help people develop their capacity. The pain was difficult when my father died, but it also inspires me. When he is in my memory, it doesn’t hurt as much. Wherever my father is now, he is happy and wanting the best for me.”
