Helping hurting people helped me redesign my own purpose

“I spent my life teaching and I am a minister’s wife, but nothing is as gratifying to me as helping hurting people, and I find a new story every day. You look into people’s eyes and see hurt, but you know that God created them for a purpose, just like he created you and me for a purpose. We have many stories of how people have changed from the inside their hearts and minds.”

“How does that start?”

“Spend time with them and listen to where they came from. We guide them to the Father who created them for a purpose. We are here every Monday at 10 a.m. We give them healthy snacks and goodies. We are going through a book on depression right now. This has helped me redesign my own purpose. If we aren’t part of the solution, we are part of the problem. We don’t know the desperation people go through, but every day, I feel God directing me to a person I need to talk to. It gets me out rain, sleet, or snow. They need you, so it has got to be.”
