If you see us beyond this, something bad has happened

August 23, 2018

“Someone just bought our lunch. There are 12 of us so they probably spent $150 or $200. We are very appreciative of people like that caring about us.’

‘We are part of a disaster response group based in Montgomery. We are primarily for chem and bio weapons and radiological nuclear response. We also work on natural disasters. You don’t want to see us beyond this or something bad has happened.’
‘We are here for training with mock disasters. We set up a mobile hospital with triage. These guys pull people out of the rubble. They are the heroes who do the hard work. They crawl into things that will kill you, biological, chemical. They will swim in it.’
‘We are a reserve component. We all have other jobs, but this is our way of giving back. It is supposed to be once a month but it is often more than that.”
‘Most of our group is medical who wants to serve and take care of people.’
‘We are good at what we do because we are volunteers and all want to be here.’
‘If a tornado hit the building we were in, we know that there are people like this who will come in help us.’

Thank you for serving America so selflessly. My daughter is a reservist & my father was in the National Guard. You can be called on at the drop of a hat & put in a very dangerous situation to save others in less than 24 hrs.
Do not listen to the loudest voices, listen to the majority…you are very much loved & appreciated!
