It is time to grow up and do something more substantial

“I bartend, but I am starting a real estate career. I know realtors are a dime a dozen but I need to have more time with my children. Late nights at bars are tough. I have a seven-week-old girl. She is our first child and I would like to have three kids. I try not to be a zombie when I am home changing diapers. I am learning the different cries and I hold her and don’t want to ever put her down. That new baby smell is fading. It is time to grow up and do something more substantial. I don’t want to be 55 and working off the restaurant industry.”

“What is a lesson you have learned behind the bar?”

“More patience. You almost have to treat people like children. I have been a parent behind the bar, but now I am learning how to be a parent to my real children.”
