There will be ten of us here by the end of the week

“There will be ten of us here by the end of the week. We drive down every year from north Georgia for Thanksgiving on the beach.”

“I am a friend of the family and my dad was a fireman with him in the ’70s. I am trying to adopt myself in because they are a blast to be around. I go back to my normal family at Christmas.”

“We used to come down here and stay in a pop-up camper and drive our jeep and have campfires and homemade ice cream on the beach. I enjoy living. Live every day like it is your last”

“This man has taught me how to relax and enjoy life and not get overwhelmed. I needed that. Jobs, stress, relationships, I don’t let the little stuff bother me as much anymore.”

“I am retired. I own a heating and air company and I am trying to get my grandson to take it over but he doesn’t want it. We adopted our grandson when he was 8 and he is 21 years old. It is hard to have a second go around raising a kid when you are in your 60’s but it needed to be done. We had a boy and girl when we were young and were without kids for a while. Then we had to start getting a babysitter again when our friends wanted to go out to dinner. He is going to be okay, he is just slow to get there.”

Great story of friendships meant to last.
