We are fleshly sisters and spiritual sisters

“We are fleshly sisters and spiritual sisters in Jehovah’s Witness. I was born two years after her on her birthday.”

“She stole my birthday. That wasn’t fair, but that is what happened. We took a European trip together and had a great time. We did things we never thought we would do. We also love to fish together.”

“My sister and her husband moved back here last year to be to be closer to our family on September the 13th and he died December 3. It was a total surprise. She thought he had gallstones, but it was stage four lung cancer that had metastasized.  We have a whole lot of family to take care of her. There were eight siblings. One of our brothers was a carpenter and when he was carrying a piece of lumber on his shoulder, he stepped in a hole and twisted his back. It was a freak accident, but he was paralyzed and went downhill. It didn’t take that long. There are now seven of us.”
“I think my husband had an idea he was dying because was his idea to move down here. In the hospital, he kept telling people, ‘I brought her home.’  I don’t think he knew he was going to pass away this quickly. It is going to take me a minute to get past it but with Jehovah’s help, I will. I have to live and take care of things. We were married for 25 years. It was a second marriage for both of us. You don’t get any better than him. He had a beautiful voice and was so intelligent. He wouldn’t let me hear him sing until after I had agreed to marry him. He said his first wife fell in love with his voice and not him. He didn’t want that to happen again. He could analyze the things that made me mad and calm me down. He helped me look at things from a better point. I miss that better point.”
