“We work for an Thrivent, an insurance and financial services company that encourages people to live wise with money and live generously. We live in a commercialistic world and want to help people give back. We help people set financial goals and meet them.”
“They give us volunteer time off. We are paid five days a year to volunteer. They are a partner with Habitat for Humanity and I have been to Madagascar and Africa to build homes. They match the gifts and donations that we give.”
“Working there has helped me through hard times. My husband had a heart attack and there were four kids I was adopting. My mother passed away and my dad was here so we moved to Mobile. I couldn’t have kids of my own, so we adopted foster kids. They are older now and some are out of the house. The 19-year-old is Autistic and working at Brookley Field learning how to repair airplanes. God’s grace has helped us get through.”
