We had matching saddles made for our 25th anniversary

January 27, 2016

“My real job was working with computers and I went through several hostile takeovers. I bought 160 acres at an auction and raised cattle and horses for 35 years in Talladega County. My wife and I stayed on horses and I cared more about my truck and trailer than I did my house. My children grew up there and it was a good life, but we sold the farm and moved down here. I get to sleep until 8 a.m. and spend time with my grandchildren. I am a people person and I am going to volunteer at the hospital and drive the carts that take people from their cars to the door.

My wife and I have been married for 45 years. We had matching saddles made for our 25th anniversary. When I go, I hope I go first because I can’t live without her.”
