We were led to start a church in Fairhope

We are recovering from the flu and had to get out.”

“It has been the Fairhope flu epidemic. People were dropping like flies. We just moved here from Birmingham on Memorial Day Weekend to plant a church. We have always been a part of entrepreneurial ministries. I graduated from ministry school in May and we knew we were going to take a leap out of the comfortable away from dream home and take a risk. We were drawn toward the coast and started praying. We had never heard of Fairhope but we were led here. We open the doors on January 28 at the Black Box Theater at Fairhope High School at 9 and 11. By the time that day gets here we will have been working and praying for a year and a half over this church. I don’t know if anyone will show up, but I hope we won’t be the only ones there.”

“It has been scary to step out to do something we have never done before. We met doing ministry and have been student pastors. But we quit our jobs and left our home to do something that may or may not work. I am the one who said John, let’s start a church. We need to do this from the ground ministry. We both did ministry before we met. I felt it in my heart this is what we are created to do. However long this lasts, six months or until our grandkids go to this church. You have to do what makes you happy and fulfilled.”

“I love to preach, it is fun for me but I didn’t want to start up a church t at first because I knew it would be hard work.”

“We signed the papers to sell the house and it sold in less than 24 hours. There were freak out moments and moments of confirmation. We want to see how many people can be saved and lives and marriages restored. We live in a chaotic world and only God can give hope.”

“We already have a group of about 35 people who are involved. Four moved down here to be a part. God has connected people here and there. The name of the church is United Church from John Chapter 17. Jesus last hours on earth he prayed in front of the disciples ‘God I pray they will be one with us as you and I are one and that they will be one with each other.’ He spoke of unity and togetherness. He wanted a united Church with a capital c. I hope that is who we can be

You guys will be amazin ! I clearly remember the passion that came out of both of you Friday nights on the streets in Bham. April, freedom is in your voice as you will see women set free. All you have to do is open your mouth. If I can encourage in anyway, people just need to be listened to. They need to be understood. They need someone to get down to their level. More love and less christianeze. Relationship building is key. There is a book that our pastor wrote here in Atlanta, .. 10 Qualities “From A Believer to a Discsiple. It’s bringing a whole new perspective for sure. You can order it on the website. VictoryAtl.com I love you guys! Carry on!! So proud of you both!
