“I am in the fourth grade. It is sad doing school at home. I miss my teachers and friends, but I don’t miss math. I like every part of school but math.”
“We are playing old games like Clue and learning to play rummy. We are using rummy to practice math. We didn’t have time to do those things before. We are watching the Brady Bunch for the first time.”
“Today we are learning how to play poker.”
“We are doing the best we can and trying to stay positive. We are Mardi Gras crazy and have the wigs. I work for the florist in the Grand Hotel, but I don’t have a job right now. I have enough vacation and sick time to cover it for now. My husband still works and my daughter works at Urgent Care. When they closed the school we were worried about what we were going to do with her. The next day I went to work and they asked me to be off. We are lucky we all like to be together.”
“I have been doing a lot of drawing with sidewalk chalk. I love art, reading, and music. I love mystery books and watch Scooby-Doo every night.”
