“The dream of designing began when I was up all night drawing. I ended up with something I thought would look cool on a T-shirt. I got my degree in nursing and worked in healthcare for a while, but I realized I wasn’t passionate about nursing like I was about clothes.

I now design urban wear and would love to have my own store like Secret Scientist has in Mobile. I have learned a lot from working for him. The name of my line is La Rever – it is xclusiv.larever on Instagram. La Rever means to dream in French. The idea is to go after your dreams. Your dreams don’t work unless you do. My stepmother encouraged me to start a clothing line when I was scared to try. She was 37 when she died in a car accident, but she made a big difference in my life. I used to be a lot, but I look at life differently now. I am doing what I love, and I am happy.”
