“The flood happened Friday. We couldn’t come back until Monday. We didn’t have clothes to wear. We worked here Tuesday and Wednesday all day taking everything out. We are staying at a church. We have no where to go. We didn’t save anything but a little bit of clothes. The clothes we tried to wash are still nasty and we had to throw them in the trash. The Red Cross hasn’t come, but there is a church that comes to feed us and I got some toothbrushes and toothpaste yesterday. My son’s coach came to help us. The baby is sad because he can’t find his new backpack and new shoes for school. It is sad. We are waiting for FEMA and the creek across from here is contaminated. It smells so bad in our house. My son got rashes all over his body after he went inside. He is allergic. We need a place to stay. We can’t find anything. I don’t know where we are going to go.”
