Sexy can be classy again

August 13, 2017

“We founded Bay City Bombshells in April. It is for women who love vintage, rockabilly, and all different styles.”

“The 40’s and 50’s speak to me because the country was solid and the styles and people were classy. Women were beautiful during that time.”

“Women proved that they could do the job of a man and proved we are equal. We could wear a dress, make babies, work machines and build ships and rockets. We were Wonder Woman.”

“I incorporate this into my regular clothes. I want to be a lady. I am getting up there in age and want to show that sexy can be classy again. Today sexy has become raunchy. You can cover up and be a lady and still be sexy.”

“We get so many compliments when we dress like this, more than if we were wearing a two-piece. The world is plastered in women in skin and I think people miss this. I am a bombshell every day, but I don’t always dress vintage.”

“Our daughters and their friends like how we look and young teenage girls tell us they want to join and dress like this, too.”

“We go to events dressed in the period, and have nights where we go to dinner and thrift shopping together, but we also want to be philanthropic. We just did a charity event for the Child Advocacy Center and provided school supplies for them. Today we are celebrating the crewmen who fought for our country. We want to give back.”

“We are trying to empower women to try a little bit and show a different way to be beautiful. Everyone in this group is comfortable in their own skin. We want all women to feel that way.”
