“I am spending the day with my stepdad, and we came to the Fairhope pier to take pictures of the flowers and the waves. I love my family. I have seven siblings and watch out for them to make sure they are okay.
I also love art and creativity. I got these black pants yesterday. There was no plan; I just put bleach on my hands and made an outline. Two of the hands are free-handed with paintbrushes — I thought that was hilarious. I make clothes, too. My Memaw taught me how to sew when I was only two.
My family moved from Heflin to Daphne in January. Starting over at Daphne High School at the beginning of my junior year freaked me out, but I’ve met a lot of cool people who are sincere and kind. We just painted our senior parking spots, and I painted a camera in the top corner with Polaroids of things that are a part of me: books, nature, and my family. One is a Polaroid of the northern lights – I hope to see that one day. There is a postcard to my Memaw and Pop telling them I love and miss them because they always tell me how much they love and miss me. My mom helped me paint my parking space, and I bounced ideas off of her. She is an angel, and I get my creativity from her. We also painted a to-do list for my senior year: be happy, help out, smile, and love yourself. This year I want to be someone people can look up to or ask for help.
I love photography and started my own photography business. The name of it is The London Rose. The rose is one of my mom’s favorite flowers and reminds me of how fortunate I am to have so many opportunities. I want to get my Bachelor’s Degree in Photography, then see the world and experience everything.”
