“The spider on my hand is from a long, stupid time ago. I was part of a teenage gang in Pensacola. We said we were a gang, but we weren’t really. We didn’t do anything that tough. I couldn’t stay married because I couldn’t stay in one place. I moved all over the country. My wife and I went together when we were kids. We were engaged at one time, but she broke it off and said, ‘If you are ever ready to settle down, call me.’ I called her about 35 years later. She married twice and I married four times before we got together. She is my fifth wife, but we have been married for 22 years. I hope for 22 more. I should have settled down a lot sooner. Being unsettled hurts in your finances and relationships. I haven’t had long relationships with people and you need them later in life. A friend was trouble. If I wanted to do something, I wanted to do it my way. I have always been a loner and now I stick to my family. It surprises me that I am talking to you. I guess we all need someone to listen to us.”
