“We have been married for 46 years. Boating is our favorite thing to do together. We take the boat to lunch and cruising around to see wild life. I am a retired research chemist and she had a stained glass studio for 25 years. I am building a boat in the back yard. I have been working on it for four years and I am building it from blue prints. Right now it is yard art.”
“What is the hardest thing you have been through together?”
“Living in Mexico for a year with his work. It took a while to get adjusted and organized. My stained glass finally got down there. I was a Spanish teacher in my other life so at least I knew the language.”
I love to see couples with that much time together who still enjoy each other and do things together. To have a partner in life for that many years who still plans things and still looks forward to each day with their spouse is such an inspiration to me!
