My house caught on fire in December and I lost my two dogs and everything I owned. God laid it on my heart to help an old lady at Lake Martin remodel a house and I took off walking. I was going to bless her. I couldn’t find her so I went to a church and they bought me a bus ticket from Birmingham to Mobile and said it would be better here. I got here last night and went to the Waffle House. I couldn’t sleep and was so bored I swept their entire parking lot and picked up trash. I try to help out. I live on God’s time and He meets my needs. If I can’t come up with the bus money, I am going to walk to Nashville and work with someone I know on a construction crew. I have been walking around all day and saw the crowd of people here so I stopped. I had lunch and got a good pair of boots from the clothes closet. I will be able to walk better in them.”
