“I just graduated from nursing school and got my license. I am elated. It has been an enormous weight for two years. Every day I thought I wouldn’t make it, but kept reminding myself of the patients. When I started, I was naive and doe-eyed. I would go back and tell myself you will want to quit everyday but remember why you want to do this. When you are burned out to your core remember why you are here. I love human anatomy and guts and gore. But I also want to help people. I want to make an impact. The dream started in 10th grade in an anatomy class. We also got to shadow a nurse at a hospital. My grandmother was a paramedic. I have a her strength and personality.
Good enough isn’t an option. It’s got to be the best I can do.
