“We are on a mini-vacation. We saw Mobile and thought we need to move here and raise our son in a place rich with culture. I am from Seattle, but this is where I am supposed to be. My mom’s family is from the south and I am getting back in touch with my southern roots.
“We met in Gadsden. I went into the Air Force and when I came back, the town was dying. The industries left and people were tearing down the culture and history. In Mobile, people care and are restoring houses and buildings and are bringing it back. That is not happening everywhere.”
“We are looking for a house now. I want to open a gypsy shop here in a couple of years with art and candles. Mobile is where I belong.”
