I want to be the first black Amish woman

December 15, 2015
I never meet a stranger

“I live in a small town, but I like to go where where there are a lot of people and just talk. I never meet a stranger. Sometimes I go to Walmart and just hang out because you see people all day. I attract people and enjoy talking, helping them and making them smile. I like giving kind words.

Confrontation scares me. I don’t like people being mad at me. I want everyone to like me.

I am addicted to Amish books because they are clean books and I don’t want to put junk in my head. I am so in love with the Amish people I wish I could be the first black Amish woman. I want to spend a week in Lancaster County when I save up enough money. I just want to hang out with them.”

This is beutiful and i do hope the best for you and your dreams. Being a black person that breaks stereotypes it’s always hard to go through emocionally and culturally but with determination everything is possible, I am also a Black person and I proudly consider myself a modern Victorian because I think the world was a better place to live, I thrive when time is meaningful, actions are ritualized, clothing says something, restraint is valued, beauty is deliberate and community reinforces dignity. You are definitely an example to follow, please take care and hope we could hear from you soon 🙂

    Sincerely,
    William H.
