“I am starting the We Rise Foundation to create positive change and help the lives of others around the world. I want to help communities that don’t have access to the same resources that we do and who don’t have a sustainable quality of life. We can help prevent human trafficking and clean water projects, and improve education. I am reaching out to organizations and have been led to a few in African like One Heart Africa Foundation. Connections happen and people come into your path. This summer I want to check out an aquaponics farm in Swaziland. I am also starting the Good Works Trading Company, an online store that will sell anything from jewelry, clothes, coffee and chocolate to help create incomes

I have always had a heart to help people and this is my purpose. I am a single mom with three kids and went back to school to work with a non-profit. Some people may not understand my purpose or how I can make it happen with three kids, but doors will open and there will be time if this is what I am supposed to do. I want to be an example to my kids to follow their passion and purpose and not believe the labels and boxes that people put you into. I didn’t feel like I could be myself growing up. I would have done this years ago instead of getting married young but I did what other people thought I should do. I wish I had been braver and had more courage because one else knows what you want to do or what you feel inside. Things work out the way they are supposed to. I wouldn’t have the kids or the self-taught lessons. My kids have a heart for helping people and I want them to be happy by being who they are. The tattoo is of each of their feet on my feet and I will love them every step of the way.”
