“We lost almost everything. Water was very bad. Everything is wet. We put it all outside. We stayed at the shelter for four or five days. We are going today to stay with our children in New Orleans. We are from Vietnam and the American people helped us out. They have taken care of us and we had what we needed. I worry about all of us. Getting another house is going to be too expensive. Maybe we can get the FEMA trailers like they did for Katrina. We don’t have a car to go any where. I need to go to work too.”
“What do you do?”
“Nails in a salon. Of course. I see you don’t get your nails done. You need to come see me and take time to take care of yourself.”
