“Fishing is something I have done since I was little. It is a reason to stand on the beach and watch the sun rise and set. It is exciting to get lucky and catch a big fish. I was born on Christmas Day and last year I fished here for four days straight without a bite. On Christmas morning, I came out here by myself and caught a 22.4 pound redfish. Catching a fish is not what makes it a great trip. It is the beauty of the outdoors and preparing the rods and tackle to do it right. When it works out, it is special. I brought my dad this time. I am 39 and I am going to become a dad March. It may be a couple of years before I can come back here, but the next time I am here I will have my son with me.”
