“I am from Indonesia and work eight months on the boat. I do it to support my family. I have two daughters, they are 5 and 8. The job is not hard, but the hard part is being away from my family. When I finish work, my mind goes straight home. We Skype, but I am not there for many of the things that are happening in their lives. I go home for a 3 month vacation and do nothing but be with my family. Every time I go home it is like a honeymoon. Meeting the guests is the best part of my job. I memorize the names of the people in my cabins and if there is a problem, my guests come to me.”
