“This is our first date. We just met a few days ago at Mudbugs in Gulf Shores.”
“I was there for a girls’ weekend and I was the only sober one so I started talking to him.”
“I run sound and DJ at the Hangout and I went to Mudbugs after work. We started texting and snapchatting.”
“Today we got coffee and came out here.”
“What have you learned about each other so far?”
“He is really smart and into music.”
“She is a good country girl.”
“What is your favorite memory of childhood?”
“Family vacations. I grew up in Miami. Half of my family is in Columbia and we went to family reunions there.”
“Moving out of our trailer into a big house. We moved away from one lifestyle into another. My dad was a bad alcoholic and he quit drinking. He sobered up and bought us a house. It made my family better.”
“What is one dream for the future?”
“I want to work in the entertainment industry. I am majoring in business administration.”
“I want to be a clinical psychologist and work in a rehab facility for schizophrenics. My mother is schizophrenic and I have always been around it. I don’t like the stigma it has. So much of the homeless population is schizophrenic and I want to help. I want to be somebody someday.”
