“We all need big hearts. Animals need big hearts. Especially cats. They are forgotten and that’s not the way it should be. I was born with cats and operated on my kitchen table spaying and neutering cats and dogs. My grandmother was the daughter of a Cuban exile from the Ten Years’ War. She was the co-founder of the first Cuban ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). She also protected single women who were pregnant and orphans. This runs in my genes. I am not a vet, I am a psychologist.”

Wow! Kind, loving little lady….but if I were a cat or dog…I would not want a psychologist doing surgery on me…on a kitchen table, no matter how helpful that act may be. Her heart is in the right place….bless her heart.
