“We have Hog-Warts, an orphanage for pigs in Defuniak Springs. Florida is one of the worst states in the country for the mini-pig epidemic. People buy mini pigs as a fun purchase, thinking they are going to stay small, but they don’t. The pigs are released and aren’t neutered or spayed and that causes the wild hog problem to escalate. Animal control gets them and doesn’t know what to do with them. My husband came home and wanted a pet, but it had to be something my two dogs wouldn’t eat. He chose a pig and there wasn’t much information about them. He got B.B. She is now three feet long, two feet tall and weighs over 200 pounds and still sleeps in our bed. We tried to break her of that habit but she doesn’t listen. Pigs are very sweet when they have been spayed or neutered. Boys who aren’t neutered let off an atrocious smell and will hump everything. People don’t want that. It is hard to find someone to spay or neuter a pig.
Good enough isn’t an option. It’s got to be the best I can do.
