“We found out I had Leukemia when I turned three. I’ve had lots of surgeries. I’ve slept with Mimi, my pink blanket, and Lolly, my bunny, since I was born. I can’t go anywhere without them. They go with me to the hospital and sleepovers.
Going through treatment was hard and it hurt when they put the needles in my chest for my port. They put stuff in me every day. They gave me ‘magic milk’ because it made me fall asleep. I held Lolly and Mimi and my mom held me as I slept. I couldn’t eat or drink during those times so my mom wouldn’t eat or drink in front of me.
I turned ten in April and after what I’ve been through, I’m not scared of anything but the dark. I had a chance of dying but I’m glad I’m alive and feel bad that other people have died from cancer. At my school we have Project Outreach. I want to get into it so I can work with kids with special needs. That’s what I want to do when I grow up.”

May I say, you are such a brave girl & very smart. I can see from your photo & from your attitude that you are a ray of sunshine for everyone around you! May our Father in heaven bless you & your family in many ways!
Amazing story and a child beyond her years.
