“I was one of the originals with the Krewe of Mullet Mates and we have had fun every year. We are community oriented and it is a family parade. I am the grand marshall this year. I lost my legs two years ago because of wounds that wouldn’t heal and I had decreased blood flow. There is a reason for everything. God keeps getting me through this and he has angels on both of my soldiers. I am a cat with 13 lives. I was in a serious car accident before I moved here. They didn’t think I would make it, but I showed them. I am 84 years old and I am not ready to go yet. Each year I say I need to make it through one more parade. You have to set goals.”
Good enough isn’t an option. It’s got to be the best I can do.
