Legally, my name is Martha, but everyone calls me Jean. I am 93. My granddaughter decorated my walker. This sparkly nail polish is hers too. She decorates me. I am put out because I lost the gift card she gave me. I grew up in Denver and married a man from the South. He brought me to Alabama. We were married 44 years when he died. I loved Denver and the mountains. My mother used to get up and open the door to see the mountain range every morning. We could see the snow on the foothills. I once went ice skating at 14 below and got frostbite. My gym teacher told me to shred an Irish potato, put it into a bag and put my feet in overnight and it would pull the frost out. It worked.”
