God wasn’t ready for me to have an empty nest

May 29, 2020

“It is my birthday. I am turning 39 and about to have my fourth child. I don’t recommend anyone being pregnant this late in the game. Covid-19 has made everything different and the classes are online. I work full time, but I have been home to incubate and protect. I was five years away from no kids and now I am starting over. I cried when I found out at first. But as my dad told me, God wasn’t ready for me to have that empty nest. I now see it as a blessing.

My husband set up this surprise party for my birthday so I could see my family. I haven’t seen them much because of social distancing. I was a single mom raising three kids for 12 hard years until last year. Those years alone were time for me to heal. I taught a singles class at church and helped others. I met him through mutual friends on Facebook. I refused to meet him for months and finally gave in. God blessed me and the last two years have been some of the best of my life.”
