“I am retiring from the library one year from today. I have worked here for nine years and next year will be ten. I have two acres where I live and will turn it into a tea house and will rent my yard for brides to have their pictures made. I want to go back to teaching arts and crafts, sewing and krochet. My grandmother taught me how to sew when I was four. I also rescue cats. I have 34 right now and they keep me entertained. I find homes for them, but some of the ones I have now have a disease like Parkinson’s and they shake all of the time. Most people don’t want a cat like that, but I will take it. I used to be in home health as a nurse and took care of old folks because I knew I was going to be there one day. I am a caregiver, animals or people, it doesn’t matter. I love helping people and teaching them what I have learned.”
Good enough isn’t an option. It’s got to be the best I can do.
