“I am ringing the bell to help myself, help others, and help the man upstairs. It pays me a few dollars, helps my sanity, and gets me out of the house. The biggest day was a little over $500. Most people can’t walk by without giving. I am looking for more work after the holidays and doing this will help me get a regular job. I haven’t worked in three years because my boyfriend took care of me and I kept to myself. Ringing the bell is helping me get going and motivated again. It makes me feel good.”
