“I grew up in California and ended up in Mississippi with my husband about a year ago because it was cheaper to live here.
I found a great job, but the pay is low and I have been struggling ever since. I drive 300 miles a week to and from work. Gas is so expensive. I just had a health scare that put me in the hospital for a few days. We don’t have insurance yet, so it caught us off guard and set us back financially. It is hard to plan for things like that, so you have to go with the flow.
I am trying to find a creative way to fill the hole in my finances. Today is my first day to set up in a parking lot and sell these arrangements. I like to draw and do artistic things. I made an arrangement with a candle and flowers that cheered up my friend. Now I want to make them for other people. Making someone else happy makes me happy, too.”
