I didn’t have many friends so I created them

May 24, 2019

“I grew up on a long dirt road with no one around me in Saraland. I didn’t have many friends so I created them. I made homes for my friends in the woods and always went out there to play with them. I fell in love with nature. My mother was from England so I always traveled. I knew there was life beyond the woods of Saraland. I have lived away from here since 1988. I live in Las Vegas but it has become so transient. Being back and smelling the bayous and rivers is a homecoming for me.

I started traveling and meeting artisans who created jewelry and selling their goods through Caracolsilver.com. I do a lot of work with Native American artists. Equestrians became my community and western boho hip. I started designing my own jewelry line. It took 20 years to come to fruition. It will have inspirational words of faith and gratitude. I am grateful for every moment of my life. It keeps me sane and happy. Conflict is meant for you to be able to shine your light. Jewelry for me is shining a light.”
