“I grew up on a long dirt road with no one around me in Saraland. I didn’t have many friends so I created them. I made homes for my friends in the woods and always went out there to play with them. I fell in love with nature. My mother was from England so I always traveled. I knew there was life beyond the woods of Saraland. I have lived away from here since 1988. I live in Las Vegas but it has become so transient. Being back and smelling the bayous and rivers is a homecoming for me.
I just have to educate myself on a new way to tell these stories
