I don’t understand how the fish tank survived

October 22, 2018

“A hurricane sounds like a lot of locomotives. You can write that down and put it in the Bible.  FEMA is coming tomorrow. I hope they give me a place to stay and help rebuild my house. Do you want to buy this? I will sell it to you cheap. I grew up in this house and my daddy worked at the fire station across the streets I have been sleeping in the bedroom in the back that wasn’t destroyed and it is good to have someone to talk to. I was remodeling my house before the hurricane came and now it is all gone. The stove was new. It knocked the windows out of my car, too. I can’t cry about  this, what can I say? This is the kind of shit you see on TV.  I don’t understand how the fish tank survived. I am taking it with me for the rest of my life and burying it with me. It is a $3,000 fish tank and I haven’t used it yet. I was remodeling my house and it was going to go in the living room. Now it is going to be my showcase piece and the prettiest thing in my house.”
