“I volunteer at the food pantry every time they need me. I pick up the food and run the produce room. I want everyone to have something to eat, but I like to get them in and get them out so someone else can come through the line. I give a little something extra to the ones who are here for the first time. I was homeless for four or five years but I chose to be homeless. I am 61 years old and have my own house. It is in my heart to help people and I love to make them laugh and keep their spirits going. I have had some beautiful angels on my back who looked out for me and I try to do that for others.”
