“I am homeless because I ended up on the wrong path as a young kid. My daddy was very abusive to my mom and it went from there. I was incarcerated for twelve years for a pistol charge, drug charge, and burglary charge. The hardest part was losing the people I love while I was in jail and couldn’t do anything about it. I haven’t been out long. I need to get an I.D. so I can get a job. I will do yard work, construction, and carpentry. If doors will open, I know things will turn around. Everything is in God’s will. It is very difficult getting out of jail and back on your feet. The system is messed up and there needs to be a way to help us leave jail and get on the right path. I am staying at the Salvation Army, but can only stay there ten nights a month. I am lost in this world with cell phones, touch screens and technology. That is mind-boggling. I would like to get a little bit of property and a place to ease my mind.”
