“I am here to see the bands with friends. They are my favorite people in the world and Sloss Fest has become a tradition for us. I am a surgical rehab nurse and a doula. A doula holds labor space and supports mothers during their pregnancy. I volunteer with a group that serves low income mothers who don’t have labor support. I like the flow arts. I fire spin and hula hoop. Fire spinning is a hoop with wicks and you catch the wicks on fire and spin around. It is hot and you can burn yourself easily. It is my favorite thing to do. I am not religious but it is close to spiritual. It is where I feel connected to the universe.”
