I make my desserts with love

October 19, 2018

“I am a pastry chef. I started working in restaurants and loved it. When someone says, ‘Oh my God, that was so good. I never had something like that before,’ it makes me want to keep pushing. A lady walked in angry and hungry and left doing a happy dance because of something I made. That makes me happy. They will give me a recipe and I add to it. I make my desserts with love and you can taste it in every sweet thing there. You have to have a passion and love for what you do to be successful.

I went to jail and prison because of a domestic violence, but nobody is going to kick my butt and I have never been in trouble again. I didn’t like how God put me in timeout. I was defending myself in my house. I was 145 pounds and he was 260. Four of five years later, he shot me with my back turned five times. I tell girls to take their time with a guy. You need to know what makes them happy, sad and angry. It will take years to work through the disguises. It is not like the movies. Put your foot down and don’t let him treat you like that.”
