“I am the Corpse Bride. I am a Tim Burton fanatic and a Helena Bonham Carter fan. Tomorrow I will be Bellatrix from Harry Potter. I love to go into character and when people I know don’t recognize me. People get pictures with me and kids love it. It is like being a Disney Princess. I started on these costumes two weeks ago, procrastinator is my middle name. I work at night and give sleep studies. Dressing up is a chance to be a kid again and Halloween is my favorite time of the year. I pay tribute to characters I love by being them for a little while.”
“I played roller derby for nine years but had to retire when I couldn’t bounce as well as I used to. We would knock people down on the track and then go out for a beer. I want to try the Tough Mudder Obstacle course next year. If you stop growing and trying new things you go stagnant. I don’t ever want to be stagnant.”
