“This is the first time exhibiting my art. I was an accountant and bookkeeper all of my life and started painting less than two years ago. The desire was always there, but I didn’t know I could do it. I am thankful for the funding for an art teacher at the Connie Hudson Senior Center because that is where I started. This is my baby and I realized seeing my art hang in a gallery is a major event in my life. I am a cancer survivor and have had lots of surgery. Art has eased the pain because my mind is always on want I want to create. It is good for the soul and the mind. I have a joy room for art, exercise, and painting. Everything done in that room brings me joy.”
